Dwight School Project Overview

Homies Interior Fitouts & Renovations successfully completed the comprehensive renovation of the Momentum Block at Dwight School, located in Dubai Sports City.

This project involved the complete transformation of both the ground and first floors, delivering a modern, functional, and durable educational environment aligned with international school standards.

Project Scope & Execution

The project was executed with careful planning and precise coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery.

1. HVAC & Mechanical Works

One of the most critical aspects of this project was the complete refurbishment of the air conditioning system.

Schools in the UAE rely heavily on consistent indoor climate control, and any compromise directly affects comfort and productivity.

Our HVAC scope included:

• Installation of new AC machines
• Repair and thermal insulation of chilled water pipelines
• Full system maintenance, testing, and performance checks
  Result: reliable climate control for students and staff year-round.

The upgraded HVAC system now provides balanced cooling across both floors, ensuring a comfortable environment for students and staff throughout the academic year.

2. Civil Works & Interior Finishes

The interior transformation began with the full demolition of existing finishes, followed by careful debris removal in compliance with safety standards.

This allowed us to rebuild the Momentum Block with a clean foundation and modern layout.

Key interior works included:

• Full demolition of existing interiors with safe debris disposal
• Complete repainting using high-quality, durable finishes
• Installation of UK-brand vinyl flooring, ideal for high-traffic school environments
• New gypsum ceiling systems for a clean, modern finish
• Installation of new lighting fixtures, including the school’s signature three-round chandelier, creating a bold visual focal point

These upgrades significantly improved both the aesthetics and functionality of the space, ensuring ease of maintenance and long-term durability.

3. Lighting Design & Feature Installation

Lighting played a major role in enhancing the interior environment.

New lighting fixtures were installed throughout the Momentum Block to provide balanced illumination suitable for classrooms, corridors, and common areas.

A standout feature of this project was the installation of the school’s signature three-round chandelier, which added a refined visual identity and a sense of openness to the space.

The lighting design successfully balanced practicality with visual impact—an essential requirement in modern educational facilities.

4. Washroom Renovation

All washrooms within the Momentum Block were fully renovated to meet modern hygiene, durability, and usability standards.

The scope included:

• Installation of new sanitary fixtures and accessories
• Fitting of HPL (High Pressure Laminate) cubicles and wall cladding, chosen for their durability, moisture resistance, and ease of maintenance

These upgrades ensured the washrooms are hygienic, long-lasting, and suitable for continuous daily use in a school environment.

5. Glass & Aluminum Works

To enhance openness, visibility, and natural light flow, we carried out custom glass and aluminum works across selected areas.

Glass partitions were fabricated and installed with precision, contributing to a brighter and more functional learning environment while maintaining safety and spatial clarity.
